The Movement

Your CALX is powered by a genuine Seiko movement.

The Winding Protocol

  • The Goal: Maintaining the mainspring's torque for optimal amplitude.
  • The Action: If the watch has stopped, unscrew the crown and rotate clockwise 20–30 times. For daily wear, the kinetic rotor handles the energy storage.
  • Surgical Tip: Avoid setting the date between 9:00 PM and 3:00 AM. This is when the date-change gears are engaged; forcing them can lead to "Mechanical Interference."

The Steel

“Industrial durability requires periodic hygiene.”

We use 316L Stainless Steel for its high molybdenum content and corrosion resistance. However, salt and sweat can dull the finish over time.

The Cleaning Audit

  1. Rinse: After exposure to salt water (ocean) or heavy perspiration, rinse the watch in lukewarm fresh water.
  2. Brush: Use a soft-bristled brush (like a dedicated cleaning brush) with mild soap to clean between the lugs and bracelet links.
  3. Dry: Pat dry with a clean microfiber cloth to restore the "Lustre."

The Crystal

“Near-diamond hardness for total clarity.”

Your sapphire crystal is 9/10 on the Mohs scale. It will not scratch under normal conditions, but the Anti-Reflective (AR) coating can be smudged.

  • The Move: Use a clean lens cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that could strip the AR coating.
